Practitioners Code of Conduct

Last updated: 13 September 2023

Introduction

This Code of Conduct has been formulated to establish ethical and professional standards for independent aesthetics practitioners (hereafter referred to as “Practitioners”) affiliated with our business. Our company acts as an intermediary, connecting customers with Practitioners offering a range of aesthetic services such as lip fillers, dermal fillers, Botox, and others. The following guidelines aim to ensure the safety, professionalism, and trustworthiness of our Practitioners in delivering these services.

1. Professional Registration and Licensing

Practitioners are required to maintain all necessary professional registrations and licenses to practice aesthetics legally within their jurisdiction. This includes, but is not limited to, nursing licenses, medical licenses, and any additional certifications relevant to their specialisation. Practitioners must promptly provide proof of their current professional credentials upon request.

2. Indemnity Insurance

Practitioners are responsible for securing and maintaining appropriate professional indemnity insurance coverage. This insurance should offer sufficient protection for both the Practitioner and clients in case of unforeseen complications or adverse outcomes resulting from aesthetic procedures. Proof of valid indemnity insurance must be submitted to our company and kept up-to-date.

3. Hygiene and Sanitation

Maintaining a clean and hygienic environment is crucial to ensure client safety and satisfaction. Practitioners must adhere to the following hygiene and sanitation standards:

a. Maintain a clean and sterile workspace at all times.
b. Regularly disinfect and sterilise equipment and tools.
c. Follow strict hand hygiene protocols, including regular handwashing and the use of gloves when required.
d. Dispose of medical waste properly and in accordance with local regulations.
e. Adhere to all infection control guidelines and best practices as per professional standards.

4. Informed Consent and Consultations

Practitioners are responsible for conducting thorough consultations with clients before any procedure. This includes discussing the potential risks, benefits, and expected outcomes of the treatment. Practitioners must ensure that clients provide informed consent before proceeding with any aesthetic procedure, keeping records of the consultation and consent forms on file.

5. Prescription Medications

If Practitioners administer prescription medications, including but not limited to Botox, they must adhere to the following guidelines:

a. Prescribe and administer medications only within their scope of practice and in accordance with applicable regulations.
b. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prescriptions and treatments.
c. Ensure that clients receive proper post-procedure instructions and are informed about any potential side effects or adverse reactions.

6. Continuing Education

Practitioners should engage in ongoing professional development and education to stay current with the latest advancements in aesthetics procedures, safety protocols, and best practices. This commitment to continuing education is essential to providing the highest quality of care to clients.

7. Professional Conduct

Practitioners must conduct themselves in a professional and ethical manner at all times. This includes:

a. Treating clients with respect, dignity, and confidentiality.
b. Maintaining appropriate boundaries with clients and avoiding any dual relationships that may compromise professionalism.
c. Providing honest and accurate information to clients regarding their treatment options and expected outcomes.
d. Respecting the autonomy of clients in making decisions about their aesthetic procedures.

8. Compliance with Local Laws and Regulations

Practitioners must comply with all local, state, and national laws and regulations governing the practice of aesthetics. Failure to do so may result in immediate suspension or termination of affiliation with our company.

9. Reporting Adverse Events

Practitioners are required to promptly report any adverse events or complications resulting from their procedures to our company and the relevant authorities as required by law.

10. Confidentiality

Practitioners must maintain the confidentiality of all client records and information in accordance with applicable privacy laws and professional standards.

Failure to adhere to this Code of Conduct may result in the termination of the Practitioner’s affiliation with our company. We are committed to providing clients with safe, ethical, and high-quality aesthetic services, and Practitioners who join our network are expected to share in this commitment.

By agreeing to this Code of Conduct, Practitioners acknowledge their understanding and acceptance of these responsibilities and commit to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and ethics in their practice.
